Donations of food, clothing, etc. can be dropped off at 1511 Fifth
Street, Tuesdays through Thursday from 8:30AM to 2:30PM. On Mondays, drop off times are 8:30am-1:00pm. It may be best
to call ahead to be sure someone will be here to receive your items
and issue you a tax-deductible donation receipt.
Please do not leave donations in the front or back of our building when we are not here. Often, these items are damaged and we cannot use them. This costs us quite a bit of money to discard--money we would rather use to purchase food.

THE HOLIDAYS
Holidays are a tremendously busy time at Bienvenidos. We are always seeking help in the following categories:
Adopt a family for Thanksgiving by providing a complete meal
~ Adopt a family for Christmas by providing a complete family meal ~
Adopt a single child and provide gifts ~
Adopt a family of children and provide gifts.
EVERY DAY
It is a challenge to keep the food pantry stocked with ample food to
meet the demands. Our volunteers work hard collecting from different
sources and our largest donor is the local Food Depot. Bienvenidos is actively pursuing grants with which
to buy more protein foods such as meats, cheeses, eggs, canned milk,
even peanut butter.
We are always seeking volunteer help. Running a food pantry is hard
physical work, and just one extra set of hands per hour helps
tremendously. It is a constant that food comes in and goes back out,
and needs handling twice (once to shelves and then to the boxes given
to clients). The clothing room needs volunteers to help clients search
for items needed by their households. Help with sorting and maintaining
the intake and outtake of clothing is needed daily. There is always
something that needs to be done and we welcome all those who are
willing to give of their time.
BASIC ONGOING NEEDS
CANNED FOOD ITEMS - canned meats, fish, vegetables, soups, fruits, pasta sauces, peanut butter & jam
FRESH FOODS - fruits and veggies in season, root vegetables such as potatoes, squash, onions
FROZEN FOODS - frozen dinners, meats, sandwich meats,
BREADS AND PASTA - bread and rolls, buns, cookies, egg noodles, macaroni, rice
BAKING NEEDS - flour, shortening, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, spices
DAIRY PRODUCTS - milk, eggs, half & half, cheese, margarine, sour cream
HOUSEHOLD GOODS - laundry and hand soaps, cleaning supplies
PAPER GOODS - napkins, plates, bowls, cups, Kleenex, zip-loc bags, waxed paper, foil, Saran wrap
PERSONAL HYGIENE PRODUCTS - Toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental
floss, feminine products, wash & dry towelettes, shampoo, combs
& brushes
CLOTHING & BEDDING - We are always in need of good used
clothing in season, and warm blankets and sleeping bags all year round
OFFICE SUPPLIES - Copy paper, postage stamps, pens
MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS - Please call us to find out what other items we accept. Sorry,
at this time we are not accepting beds, bed frames, couches, tables,
